LOUIS AND EVELYN FRANCK COLLECTION
The Belvedere Room, a new cultural area in the Pierre Gianadda Foundation, has, since June 1998, housed ten masterpieces from the Louis and Evelyn Franck Collection.
In order to keep this artistic inheritance intact, these major paintings, including works by Cézanne, Van Gogh, James Ensor, Toulouse-Lautrec, Kees van Dongen and Picasso, the Socindec Foundation deposited them in Martigny for fifteen years.

GALLO-ROMAN MUSEUM |
The Foundation, which was built around the remnants of a Celtic temple discovered in 1976, presents the principal archaeological finds made in Martigny (Gallic Octodurus, then the Roman Claudii Vallensium Forum): offerings, coins, steles, pottery, jewels, broaches, weapons, etc., as well as the famous Great Octodurus Bronzes discovered in 1883 (three-horned bull’s head), some pieces from the Délèze Treasure, a replica of Venus de Cnide de Praxitèle, an Apollo and more.
The Foundation is built on the remnants of an interesting archaeological walk which leads visitors through the ancient site: Domus Minerva, amphitheatre (5000 places), thermal baths, Mithra sanctuaries, etc.
